Bindu has now released his ninth album,”White Man’s Burden” In contrast to his earlier CD’es which mostly have been solo projects, this time he has chosen to work with some of the most wellknown and seasoned danish singers and musicians in the creation of this very special album.

Nanna Lüders, Peter Thorup, Louise Fribo and Jesper Stilgren are some of the interpreters of Bindu’s songs, accompanied by a group of the most skillful and experienced instrumentalists in the kingdom.

The 12 songs of the album are a collection of country/rock ballads with an edge of political/social/spiritual undertones, previously unheard of in that style of music. They dare to place a string of global problems and issues on the table, right there in front of our noses.

In the song” I dreamt about G.B. last night”, interpreted by Peter Thorup, Bindu goes behind the person George Bush. Without judging the worlds most powerful man, he suggests, what might have gone wrong in the life of an otherwise guaranteed nice guy.

In ”Wings”, Nanna Lüders sings about about the young freedomfighter Kim Malthe-Bruun (read about him on the net). How he managed, in the name of love, to set aside his own pain and his own life, for the freedom of others.

”I can’t deny that I’m an old hippie. Socialism has become a four letter dirty word, but what’s wrong in wishing and working for a world, where the wealth is destributed in a more fair way??? I might be untrendy and provocative in some peoples eyes, but if we don’t change attitude, we’re gonna get badly hurt sooner than later.”
